A Night to Remember...It all began on a magical night — February 25th, 2022 — at a spring ball. The music was playing, the lights were twinkling, and then it happened… Rob and Kate locked eyes. In that one moment, everything changed. Both of them remember it clearly: it was love at first sight.That first date felt like it was straight out of a movie. They danced the night away, walked the UCLA campus deep in conversation, and ended up at Rocco’s, where a very enthusiastic (and very inebriated) college girl mistook them for a newly married couple. They laughed at the time, but now that moment seems hilariously fated. Later that night, after heading home, they couldn’t stop texting — both already excited to see each other again.Falling DeeperOn their second date, Rob asked Kate to be his girlfriend. Kate, trying to play it cool, replied with “Sure, why not?” — but inside, she was absolutely glowing. She couldn’t believe that someone as handsome, kind, and genuine as Rob wanted to be with her. From then on, they were inseparable.They spent weekends exploring UCLA, riding Bird scooters, going on late-night Rocco’s runs, and having the sweetest (sometimes clumsy) skateboard lessons set up by Rob. Mostly, they just laughed a lot, kissed even more, and built a love that felt effortless and joyful.Over the next year, Rob and Kate did everything together — traveling, dating every weekend, and making the most of every moment. Every season brought them closer. Every laugh, every late-night talk, every adventure confirmed what they already knew in their hearts — that this was the real thing.The ProposalIn February of 2025, Rob planned something unforgettable. He took Kate back to the exact spot where he had first told her "I love you" back in March 2022. There, under the same sky, Rob got down on one knee and asked Kate to be his forever. Through happy tears (and maybe a little laughter), she said yes!And Now...Here we are — 3½ years later — getting ready to celebrate a love that was clearly meant to be. Rob and Kate are soulmates in every sense of the word, and on their wedding day, they’ll become husband and wife — Mr. and Mrs. Weisz.

Hi! My name is Payton Ballinger and I met Kate for the first time in a psychology research methods class two years ago. Poor Kate was thrown into a group project with me and I could not be more thankful for that beautiful little coincidence. Kate is one of the most giving people I know, dedicating everything she has and more to the people she loves. Rob is so lucky to have Kate, and I am so thankful Kate has met someone who would give her the world. Kate has been talking about her wedding with Rob ever since I met her, and I could not be more excited for them to start this new chapter of their lives. I love you both to the moon and back, and I wish nothing but the best for your future together!

My name is Isabella, I am Katie’s Bridesmaid. I met Katie when we were both 4 years old on our first day of preschool. We grew up in Tucson together dancing, playing with American girl dolls, riding scooters to get bagels and relishing in girlhood.  She was by my side when I got married in 2019 and was the most excited person to hear from me after I had my children. She has been the most loving and true friend throughout the past 20+ years. I am ecstatic to be able to be by her side as she makes these milestones in her life. She found her true love in Rob and I can’t wait to celebrate!

Hello!! My name is Diana, and I’m Robert’s (aka Bobby’s) other sister — and soon-to-be Kate’s sister-in-law 

From the first photo I saw of Kate with Robert, I could tell she was full of love and a passion for life. But it wasn’t until I met her a few months later that I truly realized what a special person she is. Whether it’s the thoughtful gifts she brings for each of the 15+ members of the Weisz/Cazarez/McGregor family, or the way she genuinely cares for my little brother — making sure he’s well-fed and gets to the doctor — Kate’s heart is truly enormous. I know I speak for many when I say she inspires all of us to act with more kindness and care.

I’m so happy for my little brother — he truly found himself an amazing woman to add to the family: Kate the Great! + the two added bonuses of Tim and Dottie

Hi all, Crystal here! Im Bobbys (Robs) oldest sister. I’m so excited to share that my wonderful younger brother is marrying the most amazing woman, and I’m gaining a beautiful new sister-in-law! It feels like just yesterday he was my little brother, and now I get to watch him start this incredible journey with someone who makes him so happy.It’s rare to find someone who not only loves him deeply but also fits so perfectly into our family, and I feel incredibly lucky to welcome Kate Sutherland into our lives, who has become a part of our hearts. I look forward to making more memories, sharing more laughs, and seeing what the future holds for this amazing couple.
